Terms & conditions
By booking with Wild Greenland you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to the below terms and conditions and that you have provided in full all the requested pre-trip information.
Itinerary changes
Greenland is one of the wildest, most exciting countries on the planet. But this also means that flexibility is essential to operate here. Your trip itinerary may change due to weather, sea conditions, technical or organisational challenges. Some activities may be cancelled due to weather or ice conditions, but we will do our best to ensure you are able to complete all your activities or an alternative within the overall trip. We reserve the right to change your itinerary and/or cancel your trip with your safety in mind.
Travel Insurance:
As with any and all world travel, we strongly recommend that you purchase comprehensive travel insurance in your home country that covers your costs for medical emergencies and reimbursement should you have to cancel your travel reservation with short notice. It is your responsibility to take out comprehensive travel insurance that covers all eventualities including force majeure, flight cancellations and other disruptions to your travel.
Cancellation:
We understand that things can happen that affect your travel plans, despite the best planning and preparation. Holiday plans do not get cancelled lightly. We will always try to work with you to adjust the trip or refund you the amount you are entitled to, if it really isn’t possible to travel. We will also try to reschedule or defer your trip if we can – we will need sufficient notice to do this and may still have to charge for any costs outside our control that cannot be changed (e.g. ferry or hotel bookings).
Refunds are given – excluding any non-recoverable costs – at a % dependent upon the time frame of the cancellation notification. Cancellations with more than 2 weeks notice will be refunded at 90%, with 1 weeks notice will be refunded at 70%. Less than 1 week notice and we are unable to refund. We will always endeavour to reschedule at no extra cost (where possible as above there may be additional costs if original bookings cannot be changed).
Outdoor Activities and Risk:
Guests are advised that all activities are undertaken entirely at their own risk and they must behave in a fit and proper manner at all times in accordance with Wild Greenland or its partners’ guidelines and must take proper responsibility for their own safety. All adventure tours and outdoor activities carry inherent risks and Wild Greenland or its partners do not assume any responsibility for accidents that are caused by its customers or can be traced to their own actions or are caused by factors outside of human control (Force majeure). With the purchase of your trip you agree to these conditions, understand its implications and accept responsibility for your participation in your trip.
Liability
Wild Greenland cannot be held responsible for any loss, damage, accident, injury, sickness, schedule change or other factors due to weather, strike, natural disasters or any other cause beyond Wild Greenland’s control. Wild Greenland acts in good faith and cannot be held responsible for defaults or delays of organizations that are not Wild Greenland such as individual agencies, hotels, other tour operators, airlines, guides, restaurants or any other person‘s or company‘s act.
In the case of any changes to flights (domestic and international), the passenger is responsible for any additional costs incurred as a result of such changes (i.e. additional hotel nights, meals, transfers, etc.) at the time provided. We, therefore, advise all customers to have comprehensive travel insurance to meet all contingencies.
Prices
All prices are in Danish Krone (DKK). As a local operator Wild Greenland cannot be responsible for currency fluctuations and or additional fees outside its control that may be applied such as bank transfer fees, credit card fees and etc.
Wild Greenland reserves the right to change its rates in case of economic changes, including, but not limited to, currency fluctuations, inflations, increased cost of supplies, tax changes and other force majeure events.
Refuse Participation:
We reserve the right to refuse participation to clients who we believe are under the influence of alcohol or drugs. In such circumstances no refund shall be given. Our guides reserve the right to refuse participation to any client whose conduct or manner is likely to cause offence, upset or put other clients or the guide in danger.
